Studio notes
Questions, gently answered
A few of the things I get asked most often. If yours isn't here, write me a note — I read every one.
Yes — commissions are currently open. Tell me what you have in mind on the contact page, and I'll write back within a few days with any questions, a rough idea of what's possible, and a quote.
Most bags take 8 to 20 hours of stitching, spread across one or two weeks once a piece is on the bench. Commissions add 4 to 6 weeks for sketching and pattern-drafting.
Anywhere in the US, from Conroe, Texas. Domestic orders go USPS Ground Advantage and arrive in 3 to 5 business days. International shipping is available on request — write me first so I can quote the rate.
I use a mix of thrifted fabrics, cottons, linens, satins, batting, interfacing, and structured materials like flex foam depending on the piece. Because many fabrics are found secondhand or in small quantities, each bag may vary slightly in texture, weight, and finish.
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Keep it out of full sun and the washing machine. If it gets really tired, send it back — I'll re-stitch and re-line it for the cost of materials.
Made-to-order and one-of-one pieces are final sale, but I want you to love it — if something arrives wrong or damaged, write me within 7 days and I'll make it right.
Every order is wrapped in acid-free tissue and packed in a kraft box with a handwritten note. Add a gift message at checkout and I'll skip the receipt.
Checkout runs through Shopify with all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Commissions invoice through Shopify too — half upfront, half before shipping.
